4.1 Acoustic contribution factors

Product: Abaqus/Standard

Benefits: Acoustic contribution factors can help to determine the major contributors to acoustic noise. Sources contributing to the total acoustic pressure at a response point can be specific acoustic or structural modes, acoustic loads, structural panels, or nodes on the acoustic-structural interface. This information can be used to make certain design decisions to reduce noise levels.

Description: You can now compute acoustic contribution factors in steady-state acoustic-structural problems based on the uncoupled modes formulation. The contribution factors show the contribution of different noise sources into the acoustic pressure at the response points.

Computation of the acoustic contribution factors allows you to determine the largest noise sources. Based on this information, you can make necessary changes in your designs to reduce noise levels.
