Product: Abaqus/Standard
Benefits: Acoustic contribution factors can help to determine the major contributors to acoustic noise. Sources contributing to the total acoustic pressure at a response point can be specific acoustic or structural modes, acoustic loads, structural panels, or nodes on the acoustic-structural interface. This information can be used to make certain design decisions to reduce noise levels.
Description: You can now compute acoustic contribution factors in steady-state acoustic-structural problems based on the uncoupled modes formulation. The contribution factors show the contribution of different noise sources into the acoustic pressure at the response points.
Acoustic modal contribution factors show the contribution of each acoustic mode into the total acoustic pressure.
Acoustic structural modal contribution factors measure the contribution of each structural mode to the acoustic pressure caused by the structural components.
Acoustic load modal contribution factors provide the contribution of each acoustic mode due to the acoustic sources into the acoustic pressure.
Acoustic load contribution factors define the portion of the acoustic sources in the total acoustic pressure.
Panel contribution factors measure the contribution of the user-defined structural surfaces into the acoustic pressure caused by structural sources.
Using the grid contribution factors, it is possible to investigate the contribution of each node on the acoustic-structural interface into the acoustic pressure caused by structural sources.
