Benefits: When you are extracting the surface mesh generated by an optimization, you can now choose to create files containing the extracted mesh from only selected part instances.
Description: When an optimization process has completed, you can choose to extract a smooth isosurface meshed representation of the optimized model surface in the form of a file that can be transferred to a CAD system or back into Abaqus/CAE. Previous releases of Abaqus/CAE allowed you to extract the surface mesh from only the entire assembly, which Abaqus/CAE wrote to a single file. You can now extract the surface mesh from selected part instances, and Abaqus/CAE writes the surface mesh from each part instance to a separate file.
Abaqus/CAE can extract a smoothed surface mesh from a topology, shape, or bead optimization.
